2 Run Sunday

Well another first on Sunday.  I ran twice.  Once before church - 4.2 and later at night - 4.0.  I don't know why I felt like running twice, but usually when I run early in the morning I feel like it doesn't count because I can't remember the run later in the day.  I know that sounds ridiculous but it's true.  Also ran 6.3 on Saturday.  So, just shy of 15 miles for the weekend. Not bad. Busy week this week so probably not going to get out until the weekend, but we'll see.  Also, I ran both runs on Sunday in my Nike Pegasus.  I'm still hoping to break them in and I must say they are feeling better.  Oh, and I saw Shalene running on Sunday while driving.  We both ran in the same spitting rain.  Fun. :)

Poster's Note:  Maybe you guys could sign your posts at the end, so it would be easier to tell whose writing each one.  I'm not very smart and have a hard time following along. :)

Get focused....it only gets harder!!!

well since we only have a 6'er tomorrow....I thought I would put up a few encouraging running quotes as we get ready to hit the 14,16,18's the next 3 weeks..... make sure we all aren't over training I have talked to a few of you and heard great suggestions to do some cross training(biking, swimming, or elliptical) mid-week. Anyways enjoy.......

morning runs vs. later in the day

well today is my second day out of the house by 5:30 a.m. today was harder than yesterday... and i'm sure tomorrow will be harder....thought i'd share a lil inspiration...but in all practical purposes...run when you make the time...han

just a sweet quote...

when the going gets tough...the tough get tougher

yeah like christa said....today was a "hard one."  maybe it was the early alarm clock....or not "carbing-up."  but really all in all it is so crazy to see that we are on week 2/18 on the training schedule....crazy when dreams become reality.... keep it strong out there!

Push Yourself-Strong Mind

Today was a long and hard one... My alarm clock (Hannah) came and woke me up ay 6:45am for the 12 miles we had to run for our training, me (Christa), hannah, and bethany all headed down 23. I could feel the blisters in my toes start to appear, the sun started burning on our backs, but I thought in my head of this quote:
"Pain is inevitable, suffering is optional"
The last mile I really pushed myself to stay strong, and I am so happy I did. Hannah, Bethany, and I went to church ready for what comes this week. Billy Blanks always says: Anyone can do the first 15 min. but it takes a strong mind to do the rest so PUSH yourself, and you wont be sorry of the outcome. Strong Mind!
Good luck this week running everyone and remember keep a Strong Mind and Push yourself to the limit (but don't hurt yourself cause were training hahaha :) )

Matt Bunk checking in.

Monumental run today for me.

My longest run: 10.07
My fastest 10k: 46'38''
Under 8:00 minute/mile average.

Hadn't run since Monday and the weather was nice. It felt good to run a new extend route.  We'll see if' i'm able to repeat today's performance on a regular basis.  I think I can.  I think I can.  I think I can.

Here's my Nike+ tracker.  I know it looks like I slowed way down, but I started my run at under 7:00 minute/miles.

We Hate Tomatoes!

So, we are still unsure of what made us so sick these past couple of days, but it seems like everything is going against us to start our training. Bee and Cer have already decided that we are not going to let this get us down, and we are planning on starting up our training again tomorrow with a little 6 miler. Our stomachs  are still feeling a little weird, so we wanna make sure we get enough rest. To everyone who was also sick, we know that you have all been going through a running withdrawal.  It really sucks when your mind wants to run, but your body just won't let you. I hope everyone else is feeling better, and we will be posting soon!
XO~Bee and Cer

Forced Rest...

This looks a little like our house yesterday.  Ran 4 miles (Shelby & 24 & back) on Monday.  Then came home a little early from Dom & Lindsay's wedding Monday night because Christa was so sick, and within 1/2 hour I was sicker than a dog.  While we were up ALL NIGHT being sick, Daniel and Bethany joined us.  Before the morning came, Jesse and Gary joined us as well.  Little did we know that Amber and Hannah were sick all night at THEIR house and condo...  So were Laurie, Scarlett, my Dad and who knows who else.

Yesterday was a FORCED REST.   The whole day was a blur with all of us laying around with the shades drawn --

Pushing forward today and hoping my body comes with me...
